This is the 1st cod i’ve played so i cant compare to past installments, but the 1st thing that stands out about this 1 is the graphics which are up there with the best i’ve ever seen. For me the game play dose not qite match GRAWF, the single player is also far to short, once you complete it you are given an arcade mode where you go through the game again, this time racking up points for kills, but unfortunatly it gave me no desire to go back through it.

Where this game earns its crust is online. With a great number of modes, hours of fun are to be had killing friends or strangers from around the world, earning exp and moving up ranks along the way.

All in All a good game and a must have if your an fps fan and anyone who’s online

  2. My PS3 is the first console I have owned but I have played xbox360 and of course the Ps2. I completed cod2 on ps2 and enjoyed it very much. I also played cod3 on xbox 360 and enjoyed it immensely. But this game outstrips any other I have played. Not just other cods but all games. The graphics are superb (on a 32 inch they look stunning), the story line is good if a little short, and the controls are easy to use and sensible. This is the first game I have wanted to complete on all difficulty levels, this is the best game Ive played and I think no PS3 owner should be without it!!

  3. I’m new to the Call of Duty series, and was initially put off by the reviews stating the length of the game was very short. Whilst this is obviously true, the single player game has to be seen to be believed. Compared to the average FPS the action is unrelenting, there is certainly no corridor based relentless killing of bad guys. The games main strengths are online and where the game proves true value for money; hours can be spent as the online multiplayer rewards play with experience points that can be used to access swathes of new content.

  4. Call of duty 4 has got to be the most stunning war based FPS there is. The leap from the previous titles has gone smoothly keeping many of the good characteristics of the other 3 and adding some amazing new qualities. The story line is really good and easy to follow but clever all te same. It may be a little short but all the levels are brilliant and being able to see the events through special characters eyes is really amazing. Online mode is great with a lot of different game modes. All in all a v.good game that will be a base for more sequels to come.
