Sony had everything to do with it. Dreamcast’s GD-rom format made copying and pirating games difficult for quite some time, and I certainly knew no one with pirated DC games during its short lifespan… In contrast I knew tons of people with pirated PS1 games.

In reality the Dreamcast failed because HARDWARE sales slumped after the announcement of the PS2, in all its overhyped glory. Sega now makes software for other consoles because it was forced to adapt in order to survive.

    I cant agree more.

Its gotta be the best console Ive ever owned.

I didnt buy a new console until I got my wii and it was only so I could play the updated sonic titles.

The Dreamcast games are still impressive today in playability and presentation.and you are dead right when you say they are a good buy.

I picked up a Black Dreamcast last summer for $35 on Amazon. Man, I <3 this thing. Has gotten a hell of a lot of use over the past week since some guy donated his games to Goodwill and they were only $2.50 each.
