Direct from the arcades to the Dreamcast, Sega has a sure-fire smash on its hands with this near arcade-quality translation of popular zombie shooter House of the Dead 2. Most fast-action gaming fans will immediately dive into the basic premise of this game: shoot and destroy the zombies that have invaded the creepy haunt known as the Curien Mansion. For what it’s worth, House of the Dead 2 does contain a pretty intriguing plot that moves beyond the simplistic point-and-shoot genre. As with most Sega software for the Dreamcast , the production values on this game are nigh on perfect , making it almost indistinguishable from it’s arcade counterpart . The lightgun works well , and is a big hit at social gatherings , but ultimately , I felt the excitement for the game drain as I found little motivaing me to continue shooting the ( albeit graphically excellent ) monsters . A flawed classic .

They is no way better to relax than to come home from a bad day at work than to shot the zombies heads off!!!!!!!!! One hell of a game package that you would be stupid to pass by………

This is a VERY good game. I absolultely love shooting at zombies, and now I don’t even have to go down to the graveyard to do it!

i am a avid sega fan, so have owned almost every sega console that got released in the UK. one of my all time highlights was first playing the amazing Virtua cop on my saturn, with a light gun. i love light gun games, and i think every console deserves a great light gun game. house of the dead 2 (hotd2) is no exception. this game is amazing. you NEED the light gun for this game, and if your mates come round and see ya wasting zombies with a light gun in this game-they’ll all want to play it. sega have a great history of light gun games, and this one really does not dissapoint. the lightguns are pricey, and hard to get hold of-so try and buy the hotd2 and gun package. i have 2 lightguns, and if theres no1 else to play it with me-its great fun using both guns at once-i suggest any person with a dc should buy this. definatly one of the dc’s highlights.
