In the back of your computer, there should be an ethernet cable. An ethernet cable looks a lot like a phone wire accept an ethernet cable is bigger at the end. This ethernet cable needs to be hooked into your xbox. You could run the cable directly to your xbox but it probably isn’t long enough. And if the cable isn’t hooked into the back of your computer, you won’t have internet on your computer. You need to purchase a router(cheap ones on eBay) and another ethernet cable that is long enough to stretch from your computer to you xbox. Instructions should come with the router to help you set it up.
Next, You need to buy an xbox live subscription. When you buy one, a code should come with it when you sign up to xbox live. You can find cheap xbox live subscribtions on eBay.
