Metroid prime 2:echoes (the echoes bit sounds quite cool!)is possibly the best game ever After the wipe out of phazon and tons of space pirates, the female hero, bounty hunter Samus Aran is on her 4th mission in the mysterouis planet aether. Galactic Federation troops have been lost and sadly you find out why early in the game when your ship gets hit by lightning! Actauly they come back alive, trying to kill you, the dark aether uses the power to stop you! Now you meet your maim enemy, Dark Samus just like you but ninstead she's helping the dark aether and you are helping the light and luminoths. Years ago the luminoths ran the planet peacefully until a strange sort of meteor landed and split the planet in two one dimension Light the other Dark light run by luminoth dark run by The ing horde. The light holds the new dark beam and dark holds light beam i don't know where the anhillathor beam is but i'm searching Multimplayer mode is cool but there is all kinds of new stuff i better not tell find out your self with your new friend Samus Aran
My rate 5 stars graphics:brillaint
Gameplay:very good
Adventures:100%

Having played 'Metroid Prime for Gamecube' and loving it ,I was looking forward to the release of 'Metroid 2', but for one reason or another I never got round to buying it ,was probably playing another game on a different console at the time of 'MP2's'release,so it slipped under my radar for nearly 5 years ,During this period I bought a Wii, and last year I played 'Metroid 3Corruption' [great game]

Just recently /Feb2009 I bought a copy of 'Metroid 2 Echoes' , and it's ALL THAT and a bit more , great graphics ,great gameplay , great puzzles and fab story .Its the best Metroid game I have played ,it's so addictive, its better than 'Corruption', and the graphics wouldn't look out of place on a new gen console .

A MUST PLAY for all Metroid fans ,quite simply it's a masterpiece of a game 5/5

A brilliant, free-roaming FPS with huge re-play value.

The controls are intuitive and simple, and the gameplay is difficult without being frustrating.

However, this sequel is much harder than the original (Metroid Prime (GameCube)) so I advise that you play it first.

I have been a Nintendo fan for a while now and am always disheartened by the how many great Nintendo titles get overlooked in preference of games like GTA or Halo. This game cannot be overlooked. Im not saying that it is better than the aforementioned games: this is a different kind of game.
From the very first second, you feel like you are Samus Aran, bounty hunter. The first person view puts you right in the thick of the action and the atmospheric music helps to build up the feeling of actually being in the game. Those who thought that the last game, MP1, was pushing the Gamecube to its graphical limits have to see this; landscapes expand as far as you can see and the detail on creatures and scenery is astounding. New weapons, abilities (such as the classic Wall Jump and Screw Attack) and a very cool plot make this a brilliant game.
For those who havent played Metroid Prime, the controls do take getting used to. However, with the Gamecube controller as it is, the controls are perfect, with a massive array of weapons and moves all fitting on the buttons at your fingertips with ease, and no massive button combos. The Scanning element will also be new to Metroid beginners. With the scan visor, the story of the surroundings can be investigated , with information given about devices, animals and plants around you. Scanning is also necessary to get the elusive 100% achievement, which takes some doing.
This is the best game on Nintendo Gamecube. By Far. Its beautiful, long lasting, involving and great fun to play. Not witnessing it is a big mistake. Miss this at your peril.
