I was on the look out for a good fashion based DS game for a very long time and was very excited to stumble across Style Boutique. I work in fashion and love the whole idea of the game which just draws you in. I managed to get to a five-star boutique within 2 days but the game has a brilliant real-time system and customers that only have certain days off each week. The HUGE selection of available clothes and different “daily exclusives” just keep you hooked through what would otherwise be quite a repetitive game. The different attitudes and budgets of the different customers are great to work with and getting the option to enter fashion contests, style mannequins and be able to try out the different clothes on your own playable character is perfect! There are lots more fab surprises throughout the game and I know that I’ll be playing it for a very long time yet. Keep up the good work Nintendo!

I bought this game for my niece (9) and thought I’d buy a card for myself too so I would be familiar with it before we get all the impatient ‘How do I?’ questions!
I think the graphics are amazing. Gameplay is a touch repetitive if you’re an adult – but there’s enough charm to keep my interest for a while. The characters are beautiful, big eyed girls/ladies and there’s a huge selection of styles and colours to dress them in. Often they’ll go with your recommendation and buy. Sometimes they hate your choice and leave the shop!
As well as the shop, you go to a warehouse to stock up on new items, enter into fashion competitions, go to the hairdresser and beautician.
I ought to note that you start the game as the brand new assistant to an existing shop owner. She remains on hand to give helpful tips if you go to visit her.
All in all, not a game I can imagine playing all year personally, but my niece will absolutely love it at Christmastime and I’m sure it will be very well played with!

Wow,as my title says “Im Hooked” This game is great fun. Start of working as an assistant in a boutique,then get given your own to run(the only thing I found was your given your own boutique rather quick,a bit rushed). But running your own boutiue,going to the exhibition Hall to pick up all sorts of fashions and styles,dressing mannequins in the styles you want is great fun. There are loads of different clothes to choose from,tops,skirts,dresses,trousers,shoes etc. Theres even makeup to buy and lots of different hairstyles to choose from. Theres the contest hall where you dress a model and try to win. People come in your boutique and invite you to parties. Also you have the wifi side where you can visit other peoples boutiques around the world and buy some of there clothes,they also can go to your and when you go on to your shop on wifi you can collect you takings.
Im having fun so far,enjoying dressing the customers,trying to suss out what suits them. Great for anyone who loves dressing up and likes to think they have a eye for fashion.
