While it’s basically the same game as the previously released Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition features enhancements that make it the best version yet. In all three versions, the player is on a quest to become the World’s Greatest Pokémon Trainer, with exploration and Pokémon battles (think advanced paper-scissors-rock) factoring heavily into the gameplay. While the game world is the same in all three versions, the Pokémon you encounter vary from version to version; the underlying goal of collecting all 151 Pokémon can only be met by trading Pokémon via Link Cable with another player with a different Pokémon version. I bought this game for my son and have to say he absolutely loved it. He said that starting off with Pikachu was reason enough for me to buy it for him.He has got other games that include:Pokemon Diamond,Pearl and Platinum.But said that he has not played a game quite as unique as this.He adores RPGs and decided to play something a bit older than what he owns at at the moment.He said he has only 4 gym badges (dont ask!) but is alredy shocked at how good it is- even to diamond and pearl.The only downer on this game is that it is quite easy to get stuck so he recommends buying a guide for this game. But overall says that this a superb game for anyone who needs a Pokemon game to get them started into this world or just a change from diamond and pearl.

Pokemon yellow is better than red or blue version. Then pikachu is very cute and I can get it without catching it. It is very cool!!!!I play it again and again because it is worth to be played.

This pokmon game was harder than the other 2,i found by looking in a pokemon red and blue master guide that all gym leaders and gary have stronger pokemon than in red and blue.Adding jessie & james to the game was a good touch that made it seem more like the tv show.I did’nt like you being forced to have pickachu wich i put in the pc for the whole game.You cannot do the cheat next to cinnabar island on yellow wich is the only cheat i know so i gave it 4 stars.But in all a fantastic game and a must for pokemon fans.

I bought pokemon yellow for my 8 year old son at Christmas and he’s still playing it 3 months later. All his other game-boy games have been cast aside as he is bored with them ,but this one has been played with and won over and over again. It has well been worth the money and the house is quieter too.

I think pokemon yellow is the best gameboy game so far.Its graphics are cool.If you do not have it BUY IT!!!
