I had forgotten about this game until I came across it in an eatery. We played this game and I was surprised the amount of words I could remember and actually won. My husband is competitive so we have now purchased the game - so I can whoop him at home. A fantastic family game where you are constantly growing in words construction to obtain maximum points.

I purchased Scrabble to play with my sister and nephew aged 6, and all 3 of us absolutely love it! It's even more fun than I remember playing it at school, and as a child. If you're short of time but still want to play, just making words on the board and not counting the scores is also fun to do! It can be more rewarding, as you're more concerned with using your letters to make a good word, than fitting a high scoring word onto 'Triple Letter' squares! ;) Endless hours of entertainment, the 6 year old asks to play it when he comes round! I think the 'for 10 year olds' recommendation is very conservative, and younger kids will enjoy playing Scrabble alot. A very good learning tool also to expand vocabulary.

Top notch game, I first played this properly waiting in the departure lounge at Lombok airport a few years ago and bought my own set when I got home. This makes you think and you get better at it the more you play it. Fine for 2 players or more. Highly recommended. Essentially you get 7 letters and need to make up works on the board joining up other words already on the board.

Bought this product and the Scrabble dictionary together and am very happy with both. Would recommend it for anyone interested in some educational fun on a cold, wet winter's day... just don't tell the kids that it's educational!
