If you were looking for a character to associate with Nintendo and the Game Boy, the likelihood is that today you’d say Pokémon–but that hasn’t always been the case, and in Super Mario Advance Mario, the once king of Nintendo, is making a comeback on the next-generation Game Boy Advance. Based on the age-old formula of the Super Mario Brothers series, you play the usual host of characters from Mario himself to Princess Peach and even the little mushroom guy. The basic premise is fairly simple: run along the simple platforms, kill the bugs and monsters in your path, and get to the end. It’s a game that’s very easy to understand, yet not one that’s easy to complete, and, like so many games before it, makes you … More >>

This game is not very fun. The levels are difficult and the character slips around a lot. I like to play against the bosses.
There is also the classic Mario game, which will trigger tears of nostalgia for 20-somethings, but is boring for me! Basically, the gameplay is this:
Go to level one. Play a boss. Go to level two. Play a boss.
And then this:
Whack the characters. Play again.
Wouldn’t recommend.

This game is very good and will keep you amused for hours. It sometimes gets a little boring but for the majority of the time it is great. It is really good having both the games on it because it means you have an option of which game to play. It must be good as I am still playing it now on my DS and I got it soon after it came out so it was a good buy. This is a must buy for anyone who has a DS or a Game Boy Advance.

Nice colourful graphics , but not anything new , no new surprises except now there are bosses , the music is fairly poor , but this will make you want to carry on till the end. There are still better platformers , but a good idea is to wait for the new sonic or banjo kazooie game coming to gameboy advance.

Mario is the original Nintendo star, so it’s only right that he should have a superb game on GBA.
Luckily for him, he does. M.A. is a brilliant and original platformer. Sure, it may just be a rehash of the SNES game where you lob turnips at badguys, but it is a real change from just jumping on them. Mario Brothers is also included in the package, but it’s only worth playing in Multiplayer mode.
All in all, MA isn’t THE BEST platformer on Game boy advance, but it’s still a great buy!
