I have bought all of the other killer books listed here and enjoyed them, but this is definitely the best challenge so far.

It’s a good set of puzzles certainly, but the product description oversells it.
The puzzles are not basically much harder than Book 5, which provides 30 extra puzzles for your money.
The new ‘Extra Deadly’ category consists of 20 puzzles with a par time of over 89 minutes. Book 5 has 21 puzzles over 89 minutes par, but they are just not called ‘Extra Deadly’. I thought perhaps they had revised the par, but they seem to be about the same standard as Book 5 very hard puzzles.
So buy Book 5 before this book. Of course if there’s an Ultimate 2 , I’ll buy it!
but a Book 6 with 150 puzzles would be a higher priority.

I always used to skip the Gentle, Easy & Moderate puzzles so it’s great to have a book that only contains the harder puzzles. It certainly kept me quiet whilst travelling to & from my summer holiday destination this year!

For those who look forward to Friday and Saturday in the Times – for the deadly killers – you need wait no longer. Buy this book and you have problems of that difficulty every day.

I am one of those that bought all the killer sudoku books I could find and went straight to the deadly and mindbending level puzzles. I have always battled thru my puzzles, and tend to restart a failed puzzle rather than check the back. I failed around 20% of the deadly puzzles first time around, and some the second! Finally, a book that stretches my limits. Dayyyyyys of fun. Not for the weak…………
