What is the largest memory card that the psp supports?
January 20, 2010 in Playstation Portable by Trish
I have got a new PSP slim and lite. I want to buy a new memory stick pro duo for it. I want to get the largest size possible.
I know that some devices can only access a certain size card, so I just need to know the biggest that the PSP slim supports.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry, I didn’t mean the largest you can buy, I meant the largest that the PSP slim will handle.
Thanks.
The largest memory stick pro duo I have come across at the moment is 8GB.
11 gb mem. stick is the largest but its rare and expensive yes true 6 gb is large but there still 8.5 gb and 11 gb i have 3 memory stick one is 11 gb and 8.5gb and 4 gb i know that 11 gibis memry stick is only available in japan
The PSP Slim can handle the largest Memory Stick there is, which is a 16 GB. They just recently came out with it. It HAS to be a “Memory Stick PRO Duo” though.
if you have custom firmware, the largest it can support is 32gb
if youre on official firmware then the largest it can support is 8gb
being said, the 3.95 update may have given the psp the ability to handle the new 16gb cards that are due out, but there was no official comment on it.
